Influences & Approach

I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapist with extensive training in Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT) for couples and individuals (EFIT). As a trauma-informed therapist, our work together will find a safe pace for your healing.

I embrace a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that no single method fits all. My therapeutic style is relational and interactive, emphasizing collaboration between us, and always leading with empathy and curiosity.

MA, Integral Counseling Program

California Institute of Integral Studies

My time at CIIS, within the Integral Counseling Program, was profoundly transformative. Each class served as a gateway to self-reflection, facilitated through readings, dyads, group discussions, and paper writing. Through this journey, I underwent significant personal growth, emerging as a more evolved version of myself. The program not only equipped me with knowledge but also instilled in me a commitment to integrate this newfound understanding into my life.

During my practicum at Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center, supervised by Dr. Kellen Grayson, I gained invaluable clinical experience. GGICC is dedicated to providing affordable psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families across the San Francisco Bay Area, with a sliding fee scale ensuring accessibility to all. Under Dr. Grayson's guidance, I honed my skills as a therapist, particularly through the psychodynamic and complex trauma lens, shaping me into the practitioner I am today.

Education & Experience

Where I Come From

I was raised in the apple orchards and redwoods, amidst the back-to-the-land ethos of the hippie era, on the unceded ancestral lands of the Coast Miwok people, known as West Sonoma County. In my 20s and 30s, I found myself drawn to the vibrant energy of San Francisco. While I still feel connected whenever I visit, my heart resides in Sonoma County. Despite the challenges posed by fires and droughts, I can't bring myself to leave the eclectic community of friends and family who have become my tribe. There's a unique culture here that resonates with my soul and anchors me in a sense of belonging.

Through my experiences, I've come to recognize the intricate connections between humans, animals, nature, and the material world, which transcend our ordinary perceptions. I'm fascinated by both the expansive external realm and the intimate internal landscape, how they intersect and influence each other, and how slight shifts can have monumental effects on entire systems. I am forever curious how the there and then shape what is here and now. It’s the unique recipe of each of us.
